The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has initiated plans to develop a Japanese Industrial City near the Noida International Airport, covering 395 hectares of land.
As part of the project, YEIDA will meet with Japanese entrepreneurs on January 16 in Delhi, in collaboration with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO), to gather input on the development. Shailendra Bhatia, Additional CEO of YEIDA, said, "The inputs will be used to shape the project and align it with the expectations of Japanese investors." YEIDA aims to attract major Japanese firms, especially in the Medical Device Park sector, and has been studying best practices from similar projects like the Japanese industrial zone in Neemrana, Rajasthan.
Officials are also evaluating whether to offer mixed-use land, including industrial and residential facilities, depending on the needs of the companies. This step is expected to advance the project and bring large-scale Japanese investments to the region.
