From 1 January 2014 to 8 January 2014, the Ministry of Environment & Forests has granted environmental clearance to six long-stalled infrastructure projects.
These projects will entail an investment of Rs 19,000 crore. The ministry has sanctioned all relevant pending approvals - environmental clearances (EC), forest clearances (FC), and coastal regulation zone (CRZ) nods for the six projects. Along with these, most of the projects have also been accorded approval from their respective state governments.

New major port at Dugarajapatnam in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh, worth Rs 4,006 crore

Power project of Monnet Power in Orissa. The project, estimated to cost Rs 5,093 crore, will have 1,050 MW capacity. It was held up over water usage clearances though the state government had already granted it permission
