Amazon India, the Indian arm of e-commerce company, Amazone Inc, is planning to set up a warehouse in Bangalore, Karnataka.
The project, spread over 1,50,000 sq ft or 3.5 acre, is expected to be operational from February 2014. This will be the company's second centre in India, the first being on the outskirts of Mumbai, in Bhiwandi.
The new multi-level centre, with inbound and outbound services, will be equipped with state-of-the-art warehousing systems and processes according to Amazon. It will be able to stock millions of products from new and existing sellers using Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA).
