Andhra Pradesh will soon see new textile projects coming up in the state, as the state CM N Chandrababu Naidu has given permission for the same.
The State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB) has given permission for setting up Tarakeswar Textile Park in Sullurpet mandal of Nellore district. The park will be built at a cost Rs 337 crore and will be ready by 2017.
Besides, Vasantha Industries Cotton Spinning Mills has secured permission to expand its unit in Thimmapuram of Guntur district. The expansion project will involve an investment of Rs 159 crore.
Another company, Texport Industries will invest Rs 101 crore for setting up a knitting mill and garment production in Visakhapatnam.
At the SIPB meeting, CM has also directed the officials concerned to take necessary measures for the upcoming textile hubs in four districts of the state - Anantapur, Guntur, Kurnool and Visakhapatnam.
