Bannari Amman Sugars is planning to set up a white crystal sugar unit at M Kannenahalli, H D Kote in Mysuru district of Karnataka.
The white crystal sugar unit will have a capacity of 3,600 tccpd.
The project will spread over 100 acre of land and will also include a 22 MW co-generation power unit.
Avant Garde Engineers & Consultants has been apointed as the consultant for the project.
Bannari Amman Sugars will invest Rs 275 crore in the unit. Around 75 per cent of the project cost will be funded through bank loan and remaining 25 per cent from internal accruals.

• Land acquisition is underway
• Civil contractor and machinery supplier yet to be finalised
• The company is in process of achieving financial closure
• Work on the project is expected to commence by May 2015
