The Centre has decided to give approval to seven major highway projects across India, which will entail an investment of Rs 16,000 crore.
The Ministry of Road and Transport Highways (MoRTH) submitted the proposals for the seven highway projects to the Centre for its approval.
The projects, having a total length of 852 km and which will be undertaken on a PPP basis include:

Four laning of Yadgiri-Warangal (NH-163) in Andhra Pradesh, worth Rs 1,487 crore

Apart from this, MoRTH has set an internal target of awarding 8,500 km stretch of highway projects for FY15.
