DC Design, an automotive design firm is planning to set up a manufacturing facility for its customised luxury cars in Gujarat.

DC Design plans to set up a facility in Ahmedabad district of state. The facility will come up in JV with the Abhidev Automotives. Abhidev will provide land and basic infrastructure to DC Design for the project. The project is expected to be commissioned by 2014. It intends to focus on designing existing cars as per customers' chices. Initially, the company is planning to invest around Rs 60 crore for the designer car facility.

Meanwhile, it is planning to construct a state-of-the-art design school for all the budding designers along with this facility. It already has designer car facility in Pune, Mumbai and Gurgaon. Pune plant of the company has capacity to manufacture 2,500 Avantis per annum.

Also, it is planning to inaugurate DC Design showroom in Ahmedabad soon.
