IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company has received LoI from Kiratpur Ner Chowk Expressway (KNCEL) in roadways.

The company has received an LoI from KNCEL, an SPV incorporated by ITNL for the project worth Rs 2,356 crore. The project is an Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract that involves four laning of Kiratpur Ner Chowk section of NH-21 in Punjab and Hiimachal Pradesh. The project completion is 1005 days from commencement date. The total length of the project is 84.38 km covering the district of Rupnagar in Punjab, and the districts of Bilaspur and Manali in Himachal Pradesh. The scope of work includes 67.3 km of Road Works, Minor Bridges, 18 numbers of Major Bridges, five numbers of Main Tunnels including one Escape Tunnel, Flyover, Pedestrian/Cattle Underpass, Toll Plaza, Truck Lay Byes, Bus Bays, and so on.

In March 2012, Kiratpur Ner Chowk Expressway had signed a concession agreement with NHAI for development of the highway.
