Indiabulls Power has commenced commercial operation for Unit I of Phase-I Amravati thermal power project in Maharashtra.
The company has begun commercial operation for Unit-I of 270 MW of the thermal power plant and has started supply of power under long-term power purchase agreement, to Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDC). The proposed unit was synchronized in March 2013.
Indiabulls Power is setting up a coal-based power plant on supercritical technology with a capacity of 1,350 MW (5x270 MW) at Nandgaonpet in Amravati district of Maharashtra with an investment of Rs 6,888 crore. The project will be spread over 1,350 acre of land.
Earlier, in April 2013, Unit -II of 270 MW of the project was synchronized.
