Surjagarh Steel & Mines plans to set up a structural steel plant at MIDC area, Gadchiroli city, in Maharashtra.
As told to ProjectsToday (PT), the company intends to set up a structural steel unit with a capacity of 1.5 million tpa in Maharashtra. The unit will also include a 2 x 25 MW coal-based power unit. Surjagarh Steel & Mines has acquired 372 acre of land.
The project entails an investment of Rs 600 crore.
At present, work on the project is in the planning stage and the company is scouting around for a civil contractor and a machinery supplier for the project. Civil work is expected to commence by September 2014.
