VMware, a software technology company is setting up a new facility in Bangalore.
VMware will invest $120 million (approx Rs 649 crore) in the new facility. It is constructing a 42,000 sq ft building in the city which will have a sitting capacity of around 2,700 employees. The campus will accommodate new and ongoing product R&D, as well as a large staff supporting VMware’s global operations and India’s sales teams.
VMware has opened offices in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata, Pune, Hyderabad and Colombo in Sri Lanka, with R&D centres in Bangalore and Pune over the last eight years.
