1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Approval for modernisation of Delhi railway station

On 15 June 2007, the Prime Minister's Committee on Infrastructure cleared the proposal for completing the first phase of modernisation of the New Delhi railway station by October 2010

The project estimated to cost Rs.5,000 crore will be implemented under the public-private partnership (PPP) mode. The Prime Minister's Committee also decided to set up an inter-ministerial group (IMG) under the chairmanship of the Railway Board chairman for finalising a model concession agreement (MCA) for the station's modernisation. The IMG is expected to submit the MCA by 31 October 2007.

In addition to the New Delhi railway station, 20 more stations are also be developed into world-class stations. These include Agra, Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Anand Vihar, Bangalore, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Bijwasan, Chandigarh, Chennai, Mumbai CST, Howrah, Jaipur, Lucknow, Mathura, Patna, Pune, Secunderabad, Thiruvananthapuram and Varanasi.
