ACME Solar Holdings has secured a letter of award (LoA) from Tata Power Company’s distribution arm (Tata Power-D) for a 50 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project at a tariff of Rs 4.43 per unit.
The award is part of Tata Power-D’s 250 MW FDRE tender, floated under tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) guidelines, with an e-reverse auction held on 13 August, 2025. The project mandates a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor (CUF) of 40 percent, along with ensuring four hours of peak-hour supply and 90 percent monthly availability.
The FDRE solution will integrate solar and battery energy storage systems (BESS) to fulfill long-term obligations under a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA). The project is expected to be commissioned within 24 months of PPA signing.
ACME Solar, with an operational capacity of 2,890 MW, has a diverse renewable portfolio covering solar, wind, hybrid, FDRE, and storage. Its in-house EPC and O&M divisions enhance delivery efficiency, ensuring strong CUF and operating margins.
