Adani Group is set to expand its cement presence in Madhya Pradesh by setting up a major cement grinding unit at Guna.
The Group's cement arm, Adani Cement has secured land for a six million tonne per annum unit with an investment of Rs 1,500 crore, expected to create about 300 direct and nearly 1,200 indirect employment opportunities. The project represents a significant boost to industrial activity and local livelihoods in the region. Alongside this, Adani Cement has moved forward with plans for a second grinding unit in Ujjain district, proposing an investment of Rs 1,400 crore and seeking around 70 acres of land for a similar capacity facility.
Confirming the developments, MPIDC Managing Director Chandramauli Shukla said, “There are two Adani proposals for Guna and Ujjain.” He added that while land has been allotted at Guna, Ujjain is under consideration, with Bhopal and Rewa also being explored. Adani Cement, which includes Ambuja Cements and ACC, already operates ACC’s integrated cement plant at Kymore.
