Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL), has received a renovation and modernisation contract from Maharashtra State Power Generation Corp (MAHAGENCO), for thermal power unit in Maharashtra.
The order worth Rs 450 crore has been received and the scope of work includes design, engineering, manufacture, supply and erection, and commissioning of critical parts of the boiler, turbine and generator, along with their controls and instrumentation of the 210 MW facility at Koradi Thermal Power Station.
Major equipment for the above contract will be manufactured and supplied by BHEL's plants at Trichy, Ranipet, Haridwar, Hyderabad and Bangalore.
The entire contract has been funded by World Bank.
