Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has invited bids for construction of 3 x 660 MW Lalitpur Thermal Power Station in Uttar Pradesh.
The company has invited bids for erection, testing, commissioning, trial operation and handing over of steam turbine, generator and its auxiliaries and piping for Unit No 1, 2 and 3 of the project.
The project is being executed by Lalitpur Power Generation company, a subsidiary of Bajaj Hindusthan. It involves setting up a supercritical coal-based power unit with a total capacity of 1,980 MW (3 x 660 MW) at Mirchwara and Buraugaon near Utari river in Lalitpur. The project is spread across 3,500 acre of land. BHEL is the contractor for the project.
The project is expected to be commissioned by mid 2015.
