Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) has successfully renovated and modernised Unit-II of the Muzaffarpur Thermal Power Plant in Bihar.
The renovation and modernisation project of the 2x110 MW Muzaffarpur thermal power station has been implemented by Kanti Bijlee Utpadan Nigam, a joint venture between NTPC and BSEB, while BHEL was the turnkey contractor.
Unit-I of the power station commenced commercial operations post renovation in November 2013.
The units were originally supplied and commissioned by BHEL in March 1986.
