The Border Roads Organisation (BRO) is actively involved in improving road infrastructure in the hilly Pir Panjal region of Rajouri district, focusing on areas like Kotranka, Samote, and Budhal.
The ongoing road construction project aims to enhance connectivity and ensure smoother travel for the local population, especially in market zones prone to infrastructure issues. BRO Engineer Sanjay Sharma highlighted that one of the primary concerns in these market areas is waterlogging due to clogged drains. To address this, the BRO is constructing concrete pavements.
This initiative is expected to prevent road damage, reduce maintenance frequency, and significantly benefit the daily commuters and local businesses.
