Engineers India (EIL), on behalf of the consortium of Bharat Petroleum Corporation (BPCL) and the Indian Oil Corporation (IOCL), has invited supply tender for the Kochi-Coimbatore-Salem LPG pipeline project.
Details of the bids are as follows :

carbon steel bare / coating / coated line pipes for the LPG pipeline project (Tender)

EIL has been engaged for EPCM services for the pipeline project.
In January 2014, BPCL and IOCL joined hands to lay a 300 km LPG pipeline between Kochi and Coimbatore in the first phase; and between Kochi and Salem in the second phase, to evacuate cooking gas from the expanded Kochi refinery. The project is waiting for approval from the Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board (PNGRB).
