Century Plyboards (India) has commissioned India’s largest particle board manufacturing facility at Therovy Kandigai near Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
The facility boasts a daily production capacity of 800 cubic mtrs., making it the largest of its kind in the country. Built with cutting-edge technology and eco-conscious design, the plant is expected to meet both domestic and international demand for high-quality engineered wood panels. “This plant is not just the largest in India, but also a symbol of our future-forward vision,” said Keshav Bhajanka, Executive Director, CenturyPly. “Our investment in Tamil Nadu reflects our confidence in the state’s strong infrastructure, skilled workforce and progressive industrial policies.”
The plant is projected to generate over 1,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities and is strategically located near key ports and transport hubs, boosting export potential. Emphasising green operations, it will use eco-friendly materials, energy-efficient systems, and water conservation measures. CenturyPly’s latest facility aligns with Tamil Nadu’s goal of attracting high-value manufacturing and further positions the company as a leading force in India’s building materials sector.
