Engineers India (EIL) has invited bids for the revamp work of the power recovery expander generator package at Bharat Petroleum Corporation’s (BPCL) polypropylene project located at Kochi Refinery, Kerala.
The contract involves comprehensive refurbishment in accordance with API 612 standards, which govern the design and operation of steam turbines and associated rotating equipment. The scope of work includes inspection, engineering design, replacement of critical components, and performance testing to restore and enhance the efficiency of the expander generator system.
The revamp aims to optimize power recovery, improve process reliability, and ensure compliance with the latest safety and operational benchmarks. The initiative is part of BPCL’s broader modernization and reliability enhancement programs at its Kochi complex.
The project reflects BPCL’s commitment to energy efficiency and sustainable refinery operations. Interested contractors are required to submit their bids before the closing date of 19 November, 2025.
