Sharad Pawar, Minister for Agriculture and Food Processing Industries on 7 October 2012 laid the foundation stone for the National Institute of Biotic Stress Management (NIBSM) in Chhattisgarh.
The Rs 212 crore research-oriented project is proposed to be set up at Baronda. It would get the status of deemed university. The centre would impart higher education thereby benefitting farming community in Chhattisgarh as well as across the country.
