Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has announced the signing of a 120-key Taj-branded hotel in Naina Tikker, Himachal Pradesh, marking a strategic expansion into a relatively untapped destination.
The project, a brownfield development, underscores IHCL’s ambition to extend its luxury footprint in the region. According to the company, Naina Tikker offers a unique opportunity for the Taj brand to enter an unexplored part of Himachal, enhancing its travel network across Chandigarh, Chail, Theog, and Dehradun. “This addition strengthens IHCL's presence in the region, enabling a travel circuit across Chandigarh, Chail, Theog, and Dehradun. We are delighted to further strengthen our partnership with Micro Turners Group,” said Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President – Real Estate and Development, IHCL.
The hotel will feature world-class amenities, signature Taj hospitality, and be designed to appeal to both leisure and corporate travelers. With this signing, IHCL’s portfolio in Himachal Pradesh rises to 13 hotels, of which eight are under development. The move aligns with IHCL’s broader growth strategy of tapping highpotential tourism locations while strengthening regional circuits, providing guests with seamless luxury travel experiences across North India.
