JK Cement has inaugurated its new state-of-the-art grey cement plant in Buxar, Bihar, marking a significant milestone in the company’s expansion.
With this addition, the company’s total production capacity has reached 31.26 million tonne per annum (MTPA), surpassing the 30 MTPA mark. This makes JK Cement one of the top five grey cement manufacturers in India, reinforcing its national presence and growth strategy. The new plant, with a three MTPA capacity, spans 100 acres and is strategically located on the Patna–Buxar highway, ensuring faster and more efficient distribution to Bihar and surrounding regions.
While JK Cement had entered the Bihar market through its Prayagraj plant, the Buxar facility will enable local service with deliveries possible within 24 hours. Dr. Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director of JK Cement, emphasized the importance of this achievement, saying, “Crossing 31 MTPA is a significant turning point in JK Cement's expansion… The Buxar plant represents a strategic step towards expanding our national footprint.”
