Jharkhand Health Minister Dr. Irfan Ansari has stated that the government plans to establish a 2,100-bed super-speciality kidney hospital and six new medical colleges, aiming to transform the state’s medical infrastructure within two years.
Speaking at the Institute of Public Health in Namkum, where 91 Community Health Officers received appointment letters, Ansari highlighted the urgent need for advanced diagnostic facilities. The proposed kidney hospital will eliminate the need for patients to travel outside Jharkhand for transplants and advanced treatments.
Minister Ansari reaffirmed that Medico City and six medical colleges would be completed on schedule. Additional Chief Secretary Ajay Kumar Singh noted that Jharkhand has surpassed national averages in several health parameters despite limited resources.
