Jindal Power has commissioned Unit-II of its Tamnar power project at Raigarh district of Chhattisgarh.
Unit-II of the project, with a total 600 MW capacity, has been declared available for commercial operations (COD) within a time frame of 28 months, from the boiler erection stage.
Tamnar power plant of the company, with 2,400 MW (4 x 600 MW) capacity, entails an investment of Rs 13,410 crore. Unit-I of the project was declared COD on 14 March 2014, after getting commissioned on 10 March, 2014.
Unit-III of the project is also completed and is ready for synchronisation, while Jindal Power is also planning to commission Unit-IV by October 2014.
