NLC India has successfully commissioned the first phase of its 300 MW solar power project at Barsingsar in Bikaner, Rajasthan.
The Navratna company announced that a capacity of 52.83 MW has been declared commercially operational, following receipt of a commissioning certificate from the Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation on 26th August, 2025. The project is part of NLC India’s broader renewable energy expansion strategy, aimed at enhancing clean power generation across the country.
The government-owned entity, known for its lignite mining and thermal power operations, is increasingly diversifying into renewables to support India’s clean energy goals. The company said this operational milestone further strengthens its commitment to sustainable energy transition.
