BGR Energy Systems has emerged as the lowest bidder for the NTPC 11 x 660 MW supercritical boiler tender.
The tender is for supply of 660 MW supercritical boiler for Mouda super thermal power project, Stage-II (2 x 660 MW); Solapur super thermal power project (2 x 660 MW); Nabinagar super thermal power project (3 x 660 MW); Meja thermal power project (2 x 660 MW) and; Raghunathpur thermal power project, Phase-II (2 x 660 MW).
BGR Energy has emerged as the lowest bidder in all five projects. As per tender conditions of NTPC, BGR Energy will be awarded contract for seven boilers. The aggregate value of contract is about Rs 6,500 crore. These contracts are to be executed in 48 months. These boilers will be manufactured by BGR Boilers, a JV between BGR and Hitachi Power Europe.
