Moser Baer Photo Voltaic (MBPV) has drawn a plan to set up a Photovoltaic
(PV) manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh with an estimated investment of
$500-700 million (approx Rs 2,300-3,220 crore).
The Andhra Pradesh Government has allotted 100 acre in Fabcity, near
Shamshabad, for the proposed facility, which is likely to have a production
capacity of 500 MW.
Currently, MBVP generates 125 MW capacity and it plans to add another 100 MW
capacity by mid-2010 and 70 MW by end-2010.
The company may infuse about $250 million (approx Rs 1,150 crore) to expand
operations in its existing SEZ at Greater Noida.
