L&T has bagged an order worth Rs 6,500 crore from Jaiprakash Power Ventures
for its 1,980 MW (3x660 MW) power plant being set up in Karchana district of
Uttar Pradesh.
The scope of work includes supply, erection and commissioning of
boiler-turbine generator package, critical piping, electrostatic precipitators,
and power plant automaton for the power plant.
The plant is to be fully commissioned in 60 months, with Unit I scheduled to
go into commercial production in 48 months.
