Posco and SAIL will jointly set up an integrated plant with a capacity of three million tonne in Jharkhand. It will come up with an investment of around Rs 18,000 crore.
The companies have resolved their earlier differences on the ownership of the proposed projects.
After fresh talks, it was decided that SAIL and Posco would hold 49 per cent stake each and the remaining two per cent would be held by a financial institution.
This plant will not require any additional land due to adequate land at the Bokaro unit.
