Radisson Hotel Group, currently operating over 200 hotels in India, employing around 19,000 people, plans to double its presence in India over the next few years.
Managing Director and COO for South Asia, Nikhil Sharma said that with 8,000 more keys in the development pipeline, Radisson expects to hire an additional 16,000 team members. The company aims to expand particularly in Tier-II, Tier-III, and Tier-IV cities with a focus on inclusive, sustainable growth with a focus on involving employing locals in the hospitality sector.
In the last five years, Radisson has signed 51 new hotels, including 36 last year alone, marking its strongest expansion in India to date. Twenty new hotel openings are planned this year. Radisson remains the largest luxury hotel chain in J&K with seven operational properties and more in the pipeline.
