Rajasthan is on course to become India’s top cement-producing state, with Jaisalmer emerging as a key production hub.
Six new cement plants backed by investments exceeding Rs 17,000 crore are planned to be established between 2026 and 2029, adding nearly 16 million tonne of capacity. Currently, Andhra Pradesh leads with 62.5 million tonne installed capacity, followed by Rajasthan at 55 million tonne. The new plants in Jaisalmer, backed by major industry players and supported by secured limestone mining leases, will enable Rajasthan to surpass Andhra Pradesh.
Nagaur’s ongoing cement projects and Chittorgarh’s existing plants also contribute to the state’s growing output. Officials confirmed that these are concrete projects, signaling a significant boost for Rajasthan’s cement industry.
