Siemens Drive Technologies Division has received an order from Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) for supply of large gear units and gear components for vertical mills for coal grinding.
The contract from BHEL is to cover the overall demand for the next three years.
The Flender gear units from Siemens, which are used for coal grinding in the power plants, are deployed in vertical mills with an output of 800 and 1,000 kW. Due to their rugged design, these powerful and reliable drives are ideal for the harsh ambient conditions in power plants and permit smooth operation.
