Six under-construction projects in the state have received State Government support and subsidies as per the new Industrial investment policy for 2010-2015.
The company, including UPI Polymers, Procter & Gamble, Sanvira Industries, Sentini Infra, VBC Fertilizers, Idupulapadu Cotton Mills and Chemicals, and Krishak Bharati Cooperative (Kribco), is likely to receive subsidies for new projects.
Kribco is likely to develop a fertiliser complex with an investment of Rs 1,800 crore in Nellore district.
Procter & Gamble's Mahboobnagar project will come up with an investment of Rs 370 crore.
VBC Fertilizers & Chemicals is setting up a urea plant along with a 2X67.5 MW captive power plant at Jayanthipuram village in Krishna district with an outlay of Rs 7,578 crore.
Sentini Infra is setting up a glass containers and float glass manufacturing plant at West Godavari with an investment of Rs 600 crore.
A green coke-cum-calcination facility has been proposed by Sanvira Industries in Visakhapatnam. It will have a co-generation capacity of 25 MW. The estimated cost of the project will be Rs 360 crore.
UPI Polymers is planning to implement a Rs 165-crore polyethylene pipe and corrugated pipe manufacturing unit in Nellore.
Idupulapadu Cotton Mills will, in all likelihood, set up a ginning, spinning and cotton seed oil refinery project with an investment of Rs 108-crore in Guntur district.
As per the proposed policy, they are entitled to 50 per cent rebate on value added tax and central sales tax for a period of five years from the date of commencement of production.
