Sona Power has acquired 1,200 acre to set up a coal-based power project in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh.
Officers from Sona Power informed ProjectsToday (PT) that the company has acquired land for the proposed 1,320 MW (2 x 660 MW) coal-based power project. It has already appointed Powersol Engineers & Consultants as their consultant; and Pioneer Enviro, in Hyderabad, as environment consultant. The Hindustan Coal Linkage is the coal linkage supplier for the project.
The project is estimated to cost Rs 6,000 crore.
