Thermal Powertech Corporation India (TPCIL), a subsidiary of Gayatri Projects has signed a Fuel Supply Agreement (FSA), with Mahanadi Coalfields (MCL), a subsidiary of Coal India, for setting up a power plant in Nellore District, Andhra Pradesh.
The FSA has been signed for a period of 20 years by TPCIL for implementation of a 1,320 MW (2X660MW) coal-fired generation plant, which is located near the coast of Krishnapatnam.
Under the FSA, signed for Annual Contracted Capacity of 2.13 million tpa, MCL will supply coal to TPCIL's plant for a period of 20 years starting from the operationalization of the plant.
The project is expected to be operational in FY-15.
