Consumer electronics and electrical major V-Guard is set to enhance its manufacturing capabilities in 2025, focusing on three new factories at Vapi for kitchen appliances, Hyderabad for battery, and Hyderabad for fans. This move aligns with the company’s strategy to strengthen in-house production, which currently accounts for over 65 per cent of its products.
These facilities are part of V-Guard's strategy to strengthen in-house production, which currently accounts for over 65 percent of its portfolio. The Vapi and Hyderabad battery plants are already operational, with inaugurations scheduled soon. The Hyderabad fan unit, spanning nine acres in Medchal, is set to feature a three lakh sq. ft. production facility. The battery plant near Hyderabad airport has an annual production capacity of 3.6 lakh inverter batteries, reflecting V-Guard’s commitment to domestic manufacturing under the “Make in India” initiative. The company is also exploring alternative battery technologies through its stake in Gegadyne Energy, a start-up innovating energy storage solutions.
V-Guard has grown into a pan-India brand and significant presence in stabilizers, water heaters, wires, inverter batteries, and fans. In addition to manufacturing, the company is establishing an Innovation Campus in Kochi, with Phase-I including an R&D centre, Reliability Lab, Product Design Studio, and Training Centre, showcasing its focus on innovation and future-ready solutions.
