The bidding process for the Agra-Lucknow expressway was completed on 10 September, 2014.
The 301.3 km expressway will traverse through Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Kannauj, Kanpur Nagar, Hardoi, Unnao and Lucknow districts. The road project is estimated to cost Rs 10,000 crore.
The access-controlled greenfield expressway is being implemented by U P Expressways Industrial Development Authority and will be developed in five separate packages. PNC Infratech was selected for developing the Agra-Firozabad stretch of about 55.3 km; the 62 km stretch from Firozabad to Etawah will be developed by Ifcons Infrastructure; 57 km Etawah to Kannauj package by Nagarjuna Construction Company; 64 km Kannauj to Unnao package by Ifcons Infrastructure; and 63 km Unnao–Lucknow stretch has been awarded to Larsen and Toubro.
