Navabharat Power, an Essar Power Company, has kept its 1,050 MW coal-based power unit (Phase-I) at Kharagprasad in Dhenkanal district of Orissa, on hold.
Authorities from the company informed ProjectsToday (PT) that the venture was kept on hold due to issues in coal block allocation and land acquisition hurdles.
The company is setting up the unit with an investment of Rs 4,648.80 crore. It has already appointed Indure as EPC contractor and Harbin, China, as BTG supplier.
