www.projectstoday.com February 2025Project Tenders13One of the most notable tenders of the month was issued by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) for the construction of a new four-lane with paved shoulder access controlled coastal highway from Rameshwar-Puri-Kakatpur-Erasama-Paradeep Road (km 0 to km 163.200) in Odisha on hybrid annuity mode. The aggregate value of the tenders was Rs 7,040.43 crore.In all, during January 2025, a total of 8,965 project tenders were floated for various work orders worth Rs 1,62,938.73 crore. During the month, 18 mega-values (Rs 1,000 crore and above) worth Rs 29,753.11 crore were released. These tenders spanned sectors across Roadways, Water Supply, Irrigation, Real Estate, and Community Services.BY OWNERSHIP The state government agencies issued 6,339 tenders worth Rs 1,05,842.85 crore and accounted for 64.96 percent of the total tenders issued during the month. On the other hand, the Central government floated 2,490 tenders for various project-related works worth Rs 56,390.16 crore.BY SECTORS The Roadways sector saw the issuance of 2,746 tenders worth Rs 57,787.94 crore in January 2025, accounting for 35.47 percent. Apart from the most notable tender floated by NHAI detailed above, it was also issued the second most notable tender of the month for the construction of STRR (West side) NH-948A Obalapura to Kunigal to S. Mudugadapalli Road from km 0.00 to km 144.25/144.00 Phase-I & II in Karnataka on HAM basis. The aggregate value of the tenders was Rs 5,421.57 crore.In all, the road building agency, NHAI floated 292 tenders with an aggregate value of Rs 25,762.30 crore. The Ministry of Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH) floated 111 tenders with an aggregate value of Rs 4,059.15 crore. PWD, Uttar Pradesh floated 265 tenders with an aggregate value of Rs 3,276.11 crore.The Water Supply sector grabbed the second position with 982 tenders worth Rs 29,253.13 crore during January 2025.
