Fresh ProjexFebruary 2025 12 www.projectstoday.comBY STATESThe distribution of fresh investments in January 2025, by states, reveals that the top 10 states accounted for 81.5 percent of the total new investment.Among the major states, the traditional topper, Maharashtra reclaimed its position as the most attractive investment destination with 220 projects worth Rs 1,16,821.21 crore, accounting for nearly one-fourth of the total investments. Prominent projects included Vardhaan Lithium%u2019s Rs 42,535 crore Lithium Refinery & Battery Project and Paras Defence & Space Technologies%u2019 Rs 12,000 crore Optics Park.Rajasthan followed as the second-largest recipient of investments, garnering Rs 73,031.09 crore from 159 projects, representing 16.15 percent of the total. Fresh investments in two sectors %u2013 Power Distribution and Irrigation %u2013 helped the state to rank high in the capex table.The nine mega Solar/Wind power projects belonging to Reliance Power, ACME Urja, Axis Energy, etc. helped the Southern state, Andhra Pradesh to secure the third spot. The state attracted 42 projects worth Rs 35,158.22 crore and accounted for 7.78 percent of the total.Telangana and Karnataka followed, garnering Rs 33,715.13 crore (7.46 percent) and Rs 32,389.61 crore (7.16 percent), respectively.
