Adani Airport Holdings has received environmental clearance for its Rs 136-crore luxury hotel project at Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.
The 240-room, fivestorey hotel will occupy 8,000 sq. mtrs.of land within the airport, offering enhanced amenities for passengers and boosting tourism. The project includes a green belt, water recycling systems, and energy-saving measures. It is expected to generate 300 direct work roles and 900 indirect employment opportunities. The hotel aims to serve air travellers and foreign crews from cargo vessels at Vizhinjam port.
“The facility will enhance passenger amenities and contribute to the city's tourism sector,” an official stated. The project is part of Adani Group's larger vision for Thiruvananthapuram's city side development plan and is expected to be completed in three years.
