Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India has announced the expansion of its business into leisure hospitality, with the creation of a wholly-owned subsidiary, Mahindra Hotels and Residences India, under the brand name 'Mahindra Signature Resorts.

The new venture, operating under the brand ‘Mahindra Signature Resorts,’ is aimed at tapping into the fast-growing tourism sector. The company plans an estimated initial investment of Rs 1,000 crore in capital expenditure to set up the business. This move will diversify Mahindra Holidays’ existing portfolio and enable the company to attract new customer segments in the thriving leisure and tourism market. The company believes this step will enhance its position in the sector.  

The Board of Directors of the company, during its meeting on 19 November, 2025, approved the expansion into the sector as a new line of business.
