The Haryana government signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Japan’s Daikin Industries in Osaka, paving the way for a Rs 1,000 crore investment in the state.
The agreement was formalised in the presence of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during his official visit to Japan, aimed at attracting foreign investment. The delegation also includes Haryana’s Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Rajesh Khullar, HSIIDC Managing Director Yash Garg, and other senior officials.
Daikin will set up a cutting-edge research and development (R&D) Centre in Haryana, focused on innovation, advanced technologies, and sustainable industrial solutions. The initiative is expected to create significant employment opportunities and transform the state into a global hub for research and innovation. Daikin officials confirmed that the upcoming facility would be one of their flagship R&D centres globally, reinforcing their long-term commitment to India. The new centre will also strengthen India-Japan business ties and position Haryana as a “Global Innovation Destination.”
