The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has finalised the detailed project report (DPR) for the Namo Bharat RRTS corridor, estimated at Rs 15,000 crore.
The 61-km route will connect Gurugram, Faridabad, and Noida, offering a high-speed transit solution aimed at reducing congestion and pollution in the National Capital Region (NCR). The project will start in December 2026 and is expected to be completed in 4.5 years. Key stations will be located in Gurugram (IFFCO Chowk and Brig. Osman Chowk), Faridabad (Bata Chowk and Badkhal Enclave), Noida (Sector-142), and Greater Noida (Surajpur Junction).
The trains will initially operate with 10 six-coach units, carrying up to 1,928 passengers per train. Once operational, the Namo Bharat RRTS is expected to serve around 3.84 lakh passengers daily by 2031, with numbers rising to 8.53 lakh by 2054.
