IRB Infrastructure Developers has acquired stake in MVR Infrastructure & Tollways.

The company has acquired 74 per cent stake and thereby it has become a subsidiary of IRB Infrastructure Developers from October 2012. As per the agreement the remaining 26 per cent holding of the company will be completed once NHAI approves transfer of this 26 per cent holding to IRB.

The company came into existence for the implementation of Omallur Salem -Namakkal BOT Road Project in Tamilnadu. The project includes widening of existing two lane road portion from Km 207.050 (Salem) to Km 248.625 covering 41.55 Km, on NH-7 in Tamil Nadu to four lanes & improvement, operations and maintenance of Km 199.200 (start of Salem Bypass) Km 207.050 (Salem) on NH-7 in Tamil Nadu to four lanes.

The Project stretch connects Hyderabad, Bangalore in the North to Salem, Namakkal, Karur, and Kanyakumari in the South.
