Power Mech Projects has secured orders from Bihar State Power Generation Company (BSPGCL) for the development of grid-connected distributed solar power plants under the PM-KUSUM Component C2 Scheme. These projects aim to solarise agricultural and mixed feeders across various power sub-stations in Bihar through the RESCO (Renewable Energy Service Company) mode, with power to be procured by Bihar DISCOMs—NBPDCL and SBPDCL.
The cumulative capacity of the awarded solar projects is 13.66 MW (AC), and the total estimated revenue over the 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) period is approximately Rs 159 Crores. The comprehensive project scope includes the design, supply, installation, testing, commissioning, and operation & maintenance of the solar power plants, along with the required transmission infrastructure.
The projects include three key locations: Rajoun: 4.221 MW plant capacity with a contract value of Rs 48.29 crore, Sakahara: 4.285 MW plant with an order worth Rs 49.02 crore, and Sambhuganj: 5.155 MW capacity, valued at Rs 61.78 crore. All contracts are to be executed within 12 months, reinforcing Power Mech’s growing presence in the renewable energy sector.
