Expressway NHAI seeks consultants for Delhi-Chandigarh

PCKL invites global RfQs for Gulbarga Thermal Power Projects

 

The month of June 2012 witnessed a total of 3,877 project tenders worth Rs. 23,289 crore being floated. Among the floated tenders, 3,132 tenders worth Rs. 12,411 crore were by the State Governments, 702 tenders worth Rs. 10,727 crore by the Central Government and balance 43 tenders were by private sector companies. The most notable tender during the month was issued by the NHAI for Delhi-Chandigarh Expressway. The NHAI invited global bids for consultancy services for preparation of feasibility-cum-preliminary design report for the development of Delhi-Chandigarh Expressway under NHDPVI. The indicative cost of this project is Rs. 5,000 crore. Another prominent tender during the month was issued by the Karnataka Industrial Areas Development Board (KIADB). The KIADB invited bids for preparation of DPR for development of new industrial areas such as Kuduthini in Water Supply (363 tenders worth Rs. 2,339) and Irrigation (264 tenders worth Rs. 1,546 crore). In the Roadways sector, the NHAI invited 22 tenders worth Rs. 6,317 crore. Some of the major tenders issued by the NHAI are:

 
  • Four / Two laning with paved shoulder of Gadu-Dwarka section, NH-8E
  • Six laning of Chakeri-Allahabad section, NH-2
  • Four laning of Jorhat to Demow section, NH-37

 

In the Hydel power sector, 25 tenders worth Rs. 1,188 crore were floated during the month. One of the important tender in this sector was issued by Jammu & Kashmir State Power Development Corporation. The Corporation invited bids for implementation of 13 hydel power projects on BOOT basis such as Chenani-IV HEP (7 MW), Sewa-I HEP (8MW), Erin HEP (10 MW), Mawar HEP (10 MW), Boniyar HEP (6 MW), Gulabgarh HEP (6.50 MW), Phagla HEP (16 MW), Bringi HEP (4 MW), Shaliganga HEP (4.5 MW), Nihama HEP (6 MW), Shukhang HEP (9 MW), Hanswar Paddar HEP (6 MW) and Patnazi Bunjwah HEP (21 MW) in Jammu & Kashmir. Among the states, Madhya Pradesh accounted for a total of 483 tenders worth Rs. 1,688 crore followed by Bihar (338 tenders worth Rs. 1,621 crore), Kerala (314 tenders worth Rs. 588 crore) and Karnataka (277 tenders worth Rs. 1,066 crore).

 

Some of the major tenders floated in the private sector were:

 
  • Welspun Energy invited global bids for supply of solar PV modules for 150 MW Solar PV Power Project in Madhya Pradesh.
  • Cairn Energy India Pty invited global bids for EPC contract for prefabricated building for permanent living quarters & utility block & administrative /medical and warehouse building at Rageshwari Gas Terminal.
  • IIC a subsidiary of Indiabulls Real Estate invited bids for civil, finishes, electrical and plumbing works for building 18, 19, 20 and 24 for Indiabulls Centrum Park, Ahmedabad in Gujarat

 

Bellary district, Devakothikoppa and Soganne in Shimoga district, Sira and Vasanthnarasapura in Tumkur district, Gowribidanur and Masthenahalli in Chikkaballapura district, Kadechuru in Yadgir district, Kolhar in Bidar district and Dobaspet, Yedehalli, Bangalore Rural district of the state. Among the sectors, the Roadways sector continued to be at the top with 1,557 tenders worth Rs. 10,209 crore, followed by Community Services (624 tenders worth Rs. 1,685 crore),

 

Some of the major EoIs floated during June 2012:

 
  • Gujarat Power Corporation for providing consultancy services for preparing a RFP document and project implementation agreement/s or any other documents as may be required for establishing a free stream open sea tidal wave based power project at Gulf of Khambhat near Hajira and Gulf of Kutch near Mandvi in the state of Gujarat.
  • MSRDC for development of theme park along Mumbai- Pune Expressway.
  • Spices Board of India for consultancy services for preparation of DPR to establish a world class processing facilities at Spices Park in Sadar tehsil of Rae Bareilly district in Uttar Pradesh.
  • V O Chidambaranar Port Trust for development of marina to providing recreation facility in and around Tuticorin under PPP mode.
  • MAHAGENCO for setting up of 5x660 MW coal based thermal power plant near Dondaicha in Sindkheda taluka in Dhule district of Maharashtra on PPP.

 

Tender Responses

 
  • Public Works Department (PWD), Haryana has awarded contract to Rajpal Arora for construction of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Government College building at Palwal in Faridabad district of Haryana.
  • Water Resources Department, Gujarat has awarded contract to Mahendra Kumar Construction for
    implementation of Pindara dam across Nakajar Vonkala near Pindara village at Kalyanpur taluka in Jamnagar district of Gujarat.
  • PWD, Jharkhand has awarded contract to Anil Constructions for upgradation of Khorhar-Gouria-Karma Road from 0.00 km to 9.148 km in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand.
  • DB Power invited bids for construction of railway siding for 1,200 MW (2x600 MW) power project from Robertson Railway Station to Plant Site at Baradarha village, Dabra tehsil in Janjgir-Champa district of Chhattisgarh.
  • NJC Hydro Power, a wholly owned subsidiary of Bhilwara Energy invited global bids for supply, erection, testing & commissioning of turbine & generator package for 6x130 MW Nyamjang Chhu Hydro Electric Project on Nyamjang Chhu river in Tawang district of Andhra Pradesh.
