  JSMDC seeks JV Partner for Coal Blocks Mining

During September 2011, a total of 2,189 tenders worth Rs 21,158 crore were floated. Of the total, 1,536 tenders worth Rs 10,883 crore were by state government agencies, 615 tenders worth Rs 10,228 crore by Union Government agencies and balance 38 tenders were by private companies.

 

The most significant tender floated was by the Jharkhand State Mineral Development Corporation (JSMDC). The JSMDC invited bids for selection of JV Partner for Rabodh, Patratu and Pindra Debipur Khaowat and coal blocks in Jharkhand. The JV Partner shall be responsible for exploration, obtaining all approvals / clearances, acquisition of land, rehabilitation, financing, development, mining and selling of coal, operation and maintenance of coal mine and closure of mines in coal blocks in Jharkhand. The Gujarat Power Corporation invited bids for selection of mine developer-cum-operator for development and operation of captive lignite mines in Bhavnagar district for catering the need of 480+ MW pit head power project.

 

Another notable tender was floated by the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (HPCL) for appointment of consultant for conducting detailed feasibility study for proposed green field refinery-cum-petrochemicals project in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. The scope of work includes the development of an LP model to optimize the refinery/petrochemical configuration, sensitivity analysis during the screening process and design of the selected refinery and petrochemicals scheme to develop +/- 20 per cent cost estimate.

 

The roadways sector continued to top the sector wise list of tenders with 629 tenders worth Rs 10,204 crore. The most important tender in the roadways sector was floated by the NHAI. The authority invited global RfQs for the six laning of Gundugolanu-Rajahmundry section from km 1022.494 to km 901.753 of NH-5 in Andhra Pradesh on DBFOT (Toll) basis under NHDP-V. The cost of this project is estimated at Rs 1,751 crore. In all, the NHAI floated 20 project tenders worth Rs 6,054 crore.

 

Another tender in the roadways sector was floated by the Bihar State Road Development Corporation (BSRDC). On 22 September 2011, the BSRDC invited RfQs for the four laning of Rajauli-Bakhtiyarpur section of NH-31 from km 47.677 to km 154.500 in Bihar on DBFOT basis. The cost of this project is estimated at Rs 847 crore.

Top 10 States in Tendering_ProjectsToday

During the month, the Water Supply sector saw invitation for 134 tenders. Of this, 28 tenders were for setting up of water, effluent treatment plants. On 07 September 2011, Public Health Engineering Department, Rajasthan, invited bids for laying and joining of gravity mains (272.9 km) from Clear Water Reservoir (CWR-3), transmission main (28.44 km) in Rajasthan. The project is estimated to cost Rs 464 crore. Another tender in the same sector was floated by the Solapur Municipal Corporation for improvement of Solapur Sewerage Scheme Zone-III, V, VI, VII, VII at an estimated cost of Rs 139 crore. Among the states, Madhya Pradesh accounted for a total of 220 tenders worth Rs 2,682 crore followed by Andhra Pradesh (203 tenders worth Rs 2,220 crore), Orissa (188 tenders worth Rs 546 crore) and West Bengal (178 tenders worth Rs 286 crore).

  • Kutchh Power Generation, a subsidiary of Adani Power invited global bids for setting up of 5x660 MW coal based power project near Bhadreswar in Mundra taluka of Kutchh district in Gujarat.
  • GVK Coal (Tokisud) Company, a subsidiary of the GVK Group invited bids for selection of mine developer-cum-operator through competitive bidding for development of Tokisud North Sub Block in Hazaribagh district of Jharkhand.
  • Patel Hydro Power invited bids for EPC contract for design, build, and completion of civil, electro mechanical and hydro mechanical works for 144 MW Gongri Hydro Electric Project in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh.
  • Selan Exploration Technology invited pre-qualification for provision of drilling rig and allied oilfield services and supply of tangibles for drilling, testing and completion activities in Selan's Onshore Oil & Gas Blocks in Cambay Basin around Ahmedabad, Gujarat.
  • Adani Pench Power, a subsidiary of Adani Power invited global bids for setting up of 2x660 MW coal based power project at Chaunsara village in Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh.

  • The Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation for selection and identification of the site for development of Formula One Racing Track project on BOT basis in MMR Region.
  • Hukkeri Rural Electric Co-operative Society for development of 100 MW wind power project in stages for attaining self sustainability and to reach for green energy.
  • New Okhla Industrial Development Authority for appointment of technical consultant for elevated roads/underpasses at various locations in Noida.
  • National Institute of Biomemedical Genomics (NIBMG) for providing project management consultancy services for the construction of NIBMG Campus near Kalyani Main Railway Station, West Bengal.  Nagar Palika Parishad, Roorkee for construction of multistoried commercial complex at Nagar Palika Parishad Land, Roorkee on BOT basis under PPP.

  • Hindustan Organics Chemicals has appointed Srijan Architect as Project Management Consultant for construction of its administrative building complex at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. The tender was invited on 08 April 2011.
  • Pioneer Gas Power has awarded contract to Tata Projects for design, supply, erection, testing and commissioning of 380-425 MW gas based combined cycle power plant at MIDC Ville-Bhagad in Mangaon taluka in Raigarh district of Maharashtra. The tender was invited on 01 October 2010.
